Virus & Flu season

How to stay protected this Winter.

Each Winter the flu virus is a big concern for everyone especially as we

experience many different viruses throughout the year. This then results in

the flu vaccine being updated to help target different strains throughout the

winter period.

WHO- The World Health Organisation carefully study test and select the best

vaccines to make sure that the most vulnerable are protected.

What is Flu?

Some say its just a very bad cold, some say wrap up warm and keep drinking

fluids and rest, which in some cases yes these are “acceptable” responses to

adults who are fit and healthy.

For others they are most at risk at developing serious lung conditions such as

pneumonia and bronchitis, but also the flu can make existing conditions

worse if not fatal.

The Flu Virus will continually develop as the years go on; it is most important

to get vaccinated each year.

We are all different in how we react to the vaccinations.

Common Side effects could be:

·         Body aches and sometimes shivers.

A more serious side effect is an Allergic Reaction, your medical profession or person who vaccinates you will be trained if this was to happen.
